Just picked up this gem from Danielle Laporte in an interview with Jonathan Fields. Danielle is a Canadian based writer/coach/business adviser and she’s full of wisdom. Much of it you can access on her website whitehottruth.combut this piece in the interview really stood out for me.
Danielle says she often asks her clients, “What are people thanking you for?” The answer to that question can shine a light as to what your ‘gifts’ might be and give you clues as to where to spend your time and energy. Maybe it’s for your cooking, your art, your wisdom, your ability to make others laugh, your skills with money, your exceptional cleaning skills, maybe even just for being a great listener.
Whatever it is, give some thought to what life might be like for you if you did more of it. Could it be a source of passion or purpose for you? What might it be like for those on the receiving end? Is it something you could build a career around or dedicate a cause to? Do us all a favour and give it some thought. And let me be the first to say thank you for doing so!
