Managing people is another way of saying ‘I am here to serve others’. When you take this perspective, it changes everything. Now, you no longer need to control and direct, manage or make do. You now come from a place where you share, serve and mentor.
Imagine having this attitude and way of being when you are dealing with team members that aren’t as skilled as you would like them to be, can’t grasp a difficult concept in the time you can, or don’t share information the way you would like.
All these are opportunities to look at the way you do those things and change what is inside of you. You do that by acknowledging that you have done all those things in the past and present. forgiving yourself for being human and then moving on.
Once you can do that, you are serving others at the highest standard possible and then your team members, work mates, colleagues can do their best work.
