You need to look at your life, your situation and ask yourself seriously, Why do I want this? Why is it important to me? If you have enough whys the hows will take care of themselves. You will find a way.

See, you need to be able to create an outcome for yourself, the why has to be based on what you want, not on what you don’t want.

When we base it on what we don’t want, like not wanting to be overweight,  we lose some weight and then many of us give up. There have been many books written about how to lose the last 5 kilos. Why, because we have “solved” the problem.

However, if we look at it from the perspective of creating an outcome, like,

  • I want to be fit, strong and healthy so I can be role model for my children,
  • I want  to have enough energy to be the best at what I do,
  • I want to be able to handle all the demands placed on me at work and not feel slammed at the end of the day

In order to change any habit you literally have to become a different person.

You will need to change the way you think and feel about the activity you want to transform. This is where it gets challenging.

First things first, let’s start with this. Why do you want to change?

Get the conversation happening in your head and let your body know to be ready for some changes.

In the following weeks I will share with you some short, practical tips and strategies so you EAT, THINK and MOVE better, because we know that feeling healthy, fit and strong are some of the best ways we can be our best at home and at work.

How do you know you have really changed?

When everything looks the same but you feel different.change, personal development, self awareness

When the same situation repeats itself and you respond differently.

When you don’t have to problem solve a situation away. You observe it without a reaction, and inquire, be curious, hold it lightly, have no expectation for it to be any other way than what it is.

When people start to not only see you differently, they start to treat you differently.

When things start to fall apart around you, you have faith that it is only temporary and look for the value in the situation.

Have you really changed lately?

I forget, oh yes I remember, I forget.

That is a typical emotional cycle for many of us,Remembering, connecting, mental awareness, personal habits

especially when we are working on several projects with different priorities and people.

We forget to stay present and not worry about the future. We forget to give ourselves time to just reflect. We forget to tell our children the qualities in them we admire. We forget how awesome feeling fit, strong and healthy is.

Human beings have a default pattern of forgetfulness. That is why remembering is so enticing to us. We forget that we are creators of our own reality.
